Welcome to the home page of the University of Glasgow Exploration Society. The Society exists to help students organise and conduct mainly scientific expeditions to all parts of the world. We give guidance on aspects of expedition organisation such as fund raising, safety and first aid.

All matriculated students of the University are eligible to join the society and we actively encourage those from outside the sciences.

Membership is £3 per year for students and £5 for staff. We hold two meetings a year, the first, in October, is the Proposals Evening where those planning expeditions present details and invite applicants. The second meeting, in February, is a Report-back Meeting where the expeditions from the previous year report their results.
