Anything Goes - more budget

  • The materials hire has been included in the £500 deposit, but we don't know how much of the £500 this offsets. (The deposit is chargeable against the total, not in addition)
  • Nicky asked Musicscope not to send the band parts until January, but they said that they have already been despatched on account of the floods/rail/postal problems - so we may have to pay £50 extra for December hire.
  • 15 scripts are not enough. (We had about 30 for Oklahoma!)
  • Rachael Swann has a contact in the Trades House who may be able to give us some funding.
  • We have not been able to confirm venue hire or how much the change in ticket price will affect the license costs.
  • We may be able to get free van hire through Susan's neighbour, but must budget for hire anyway.
  • Fraser McGibbon will do lighting, but would prefer to use Malcolm again if possible.
  • It was felt that it was reasonable to ask cast members to contribute towards the cost of their costumes if they get to keep them, the Society providing only a subsidy.
  • The treasurer would like to place a £6500 ceiling on expenditure if it is in any way possible:
Payments to Musicscope

AOCB

  • John Paul is our first associate member. He has sent us a cheque for £16, but wishes to return to ordinary membership next year.
  • The GUU Reading Room will cost £85, so the murder mystery night will be in the QM, and the only cost will therefore be the buffet.
  • Ed will assist Tony with University Affairs, but needs someone to help chase the telephone service.
  • The Royal Mail have lost the Bugsy Malone materials. Ian, however, did obtain a certificate of posting. The hire library know this and do not seem unduly concerned.
  • Social:
    • Tomorrow is David Doig's flat-warming.
    • Saturday is Andy Bunning's 21st Birthday in the GUU Beer Bar/Dining Room.
    • Saturday is also the last night of Ed's play - STAG production of Can't Pay, Won't Pay.
    • We will have our St. AndrewÕs Night ceilidh trip to the Renfrew Ferry on the 1st December.
  • Show:
    • Some more small parts have been cast. The Angels will be cast tonight.
    • Mark wishes to move the song 'Anything Goes' from the end of Act One to the finale; the finale to the curtain call; and 'Public Enemy Number One' to the close of Act One.
