Correspondence and matters arising from last week

  • Only 4 of the 12 affiliated societies sent reps to the QM meeting. We can link our website to the Union's and advertise the show there. Our room bookings have been sorted for the second term although there may be gigs on the 21st and 28th January. As part of the university's 550th anniversary celebrations in 2001, the QM will probably be having an open day in week 9 next term and would like the clubs and societies to take part. Jim's Bar is to be renovated next summer and the games room and committee room are to be swapped. We have a pigeon hole in the general office. The QM is considering offering clubs a regular buffet service. There is one Apple Mac available for design use - speak to the Honorary Secretary to arrange use (training is available). There will be a clubs and societies notice board from next term but we should be aware that posters are removed for Saturday 'Bugged Out' events.
  • 2 men want to do tech. and are coming tonight.
  • Dave Wilson has forgiven us and will get back to us with a quote for tuning the Western Court piano.
  • Linzi Davidson has received our programme advert with a spiel.
  • The posters and flyers from Clydeside Press may be ready tomorrow.

Christmas Events

We will have access to the City Chambers from 5.30pm. We will be doing about a third of the Music Club concert on the 11th - will we get 1/3 of the profit? They are not having a ceilidh since the College Club is booked and want to go to Uisge Beatha instead. We will try to convince them to go to the Hogshead because it's bigger. We should have mulled wine and mince pies at the concert. Sam will look out his recipe and cost it. We will get the woman from the SRC to organise the old folk's homes for Sunday 17th.

Social

We can't buy ceilidh tickets in advance, so will meet in the Hogshead in Queen Street from 8pm. 35 people have paid for the Murder Mystery. Lorna might possibly have a Hogmanay party.

Thursday 14th December

Mark wants a rehearsal as normal, but doubts were expressed as to whether everyone would turn up the day before Daft Friday.

Anything Goes

The production team no longer want to move Anything Goes and we will perform the script as is.

AOCB

  • Laura said that we need to think about show publicity.
  • Tony wants to set up a 'weekend away' subcommittee
  • Mark wants to go on a Sub Crawl.
  • The SRC minibus costs £10 per day with £75 deposit. To hire it, we need 2 drivers over the age of 21 with 3 years driving experience and who have passed the SRC minibus test. Ewan has volunteered to sit it, as has Laura and we will ask Marianne who has expressed interest in the past.
  • Some people still haven't paid Lorna for their Freshers' Week T-shirts.
Meeting Closed at 7pm
