Anything Goes 1st Draft Budget

We do not have all of the fixed costs yet, and so this is a very provisional budget, to be scrutinised at a later date. Last year, 40 cast members sold an average of 22 tickets each. As there are 39 cast members on the e-mail list to date, we can assume that we can sell roughly the same number this year. There will be a maximum of 9 people in the band. As costs rise every year, and our ticket prices have been frozen for some time, it was decided to have the ticket prices this year at £5 concession/ matinée and £9 full price.

Miscellaneous points arising from budget discussion

  • Music Stand hire has for the time being been included in the miscellaneous tech. budget, as it shouldn't be the band's job to find the stands.
  • Nevertheless, we will try and convince the Music Department to lend us some.
  • We will probably use Clydeside press again for the publicity material which will need to be printed asap. After much discussion, 500 posters and 10 000 flyers were decided upon as suitable quantities (cost permitting)
  • We need a proper make-up artist and should invest in decent sponges.
  • We may not have to pay for a technician if Fraser McGibbon is involved with the show, as he is now officially approved by the Crawfurd Theatre.
  • T-shirts have not been included in the budget, but light-blue on black was suggested as the colour scheme this year.
  • As she is the only person to have offered, and the committee have complete confidence in her efficiency, Marianne will be the ticket manager.
