Correspondence

  • We received an e-mail from the SRC Student Develpoment Coordinator, looking for people to go carol singing in old people’s homes. We will ask for more information to find out how much effort would be involved.
  • Linzi Davidson asked how long to allocate us for the Childline concert. Ewan will tell her 40 minutes max.
  • Anne is moving and we now have her new contact details.
  • We are now officially affiliated to the QM which apparently means that we can use their computers for design work. Jamie Wakefield has invited us to send a representative to a clubs and societies meeting tomorrow. Tony will go.

Social

  • We will get names for the Renfrew Ferry tonight and Susan will buy tickets for them. Anyone else can pay the full price on the door.
  • A bar has been organised for the Murder Mystery (2 beers, 2 bottles, 3 spirits). Sam will collect money tonight. So far 45 people have said they will come. The event will start at 7 for 7.30pm; Dress code - posh frocks and DJs. We won’t have a raffle at the Murder Mystery but it is worth thinking about for the spring show.

Christmas events

We should carol sing at old people’s homes to publicise the show a la Oklahoma!. We will find out what date is most suitable (probably after the end of term) then invite ourselves to the homes on that day. We need an extra rehearsal to have a final run before the Chidline concert, which will be in Western Court on Monday 4th Dec. This Sunday’s rehearsal will start at 6pm. The Music Club will have a ceilidh in the College Club after the concert on the 11th, but Ian has all the details.

Anything Goes

Helen will not have time to choreograph the show, but has recommended Dorothy French who will be coming this evening. Rebecca has paid for the script which she has lost. Derek Rogers wishes to be involved again.

AOCB

  • Anne stressed that the Western Court piano urgently needed tuned. Sophie will speak to Dave Wilson’s son to see what can be done.
  • Lorna went to the bank to find out why they were still sending statements to Western Court instead of her house. It turns out that they have no record of the new mandate form, yet have been paying out on cheques signed by the new Exec. We have a new form.

Next Meeting

Thursday 30th November, QM Committee Room 1, 6pm.

Meeting Closed at 6.58pm
