Minutes Cecilian Society Committee Meeting 24/03/03

We need to pick up our SRC grant. JP and Tony said they would go and do it. They need to take receipts for the amount.
JP sent stuff to all associate members – just Derek’s to send off.
Nadia had a refund from Samual French for BLW things.
Lots of cheques have bounced.
Lorna will be here tonight so she can sign the ticket form.
JP has torn up the piano cheque as they didn’t buy a piano.
The Pantheon have paid their invoice.

Chris will do the seating plan. It needs to be at the Hilton 3 days beforehand.
Still needs payment from people. We have paid for 60 people. About 54 have so far signed up. Some are coming for the dance afterwards – will pay £5.
Andy Walker can’t make the meal but will do the vote of thanks afterwards.
Bobby Barr is coming.
Starts at 7pm – we eat at 8pm. Ceilidh 9.30 – 11.30pm.
Tony will get whisky for quaich person.

Jill has moved her dance class.
Libby will email about it tomorrow.
Committee members should write about 100 words on their job and email it to Libby.

Concert party have a gig in Princess Square – 50s and 60s ratpack stuff. It’s an evening entertainment for people having dinner.
Not doing the Concert Hall concert as janitors are too expensive

Company manager will have to carry on looking for a venue. Ali will show them what he has done.
Could change associate membership so it runs from the same time for each person. Would make sending out renewal forms much easier.
Could have a different price for a year/half a year or one and a half years.
Ewan suggests that if people lend us things, they should sign something, and we should have a person assigned to look after it. 2 frockcoats were found. But the cheque has been cashed. Will need to get the money back before giving the frock coats back. Tony is speaking to the man to sort it out.
No news about moving office.
should sort stuff out over summer with new committee. We could offer to help them sort it out if we know where things are.
Need to return the piano. Tony has been trying to get hold of Dave Wilson. He will deal with it,.
