Commitee Meeting Minutes
Minutes Cecilian Society Committee Meeting 01/05/03
Present:
Nadia, Ali, Libby, Jenny, Cate, Chris, JP, Adele, Liam.
Apologies:
Tony, nicola, Gregor, Eliza.
Meeting opened – 6.08pm.
·All prizes have been sent out in the raffle.
·Libby had to apologise to Jenny for not sending the minutes out last week as it would have saved her lots of hassle with the Pantheon who have actually now paid.
·Harry has put down some thoughts for ticket manager which we will pass on to next years committee.
·Concert Party made £400 last night – yay. The guy seemed keen to organise another one. The money is going into the normal account.
·Thanks to gregor for playing piano and to graeme for turning the pages.
·The dinner dance will have no top table. Chris etc have done table plan and tried to put people with their friends.
·Nicola is doing the vote of thanks.
·Ben is doing ‘comedy’ place-cards.
·56 are coming for dinner. The money should be covered – shouldn’t really make a loss.
New committee
·We each need to meet with our successor to explain exactly what needs to be done. There has been some confusion this year as to what people do.
·Lorna Bailey would like her keyboard fixed before the new committee takes over. Adele will phone Gregor about it.
·Need to think about what concert party are going to do – may have to have new auditions for new people who want to join. Could make it more of a range test, and soloists can be picked from the group.
Recommendations
·Fix piano
·Get keys for new office
·Find venue to perform in
·Consider doing different types of shows to fit with venues.
·Keep links with QM to find out what rehearsal space will be available.
·Eurovision party – 24th May – should get someone to have one. Could have it in Curlers – karaoke version.
·Summer barbecue
