Apologies: Jenny, JP, Eliza, Libby(minutes taken by GD), Chris
Meeting opened when the President’s fudge cake arrived.
Correspondence
- Whorehouse. There are no scripts available for hire, so we’d have to buy them. Let’s not.
- Liam asked what rooms were booked for what uses, Whorehouse-wise. Ali will let the tech crew do things in his basement.
- Hugh Gould is 69
- Dave Wilson says we should fix the damaged piano action ourselves, as he won’t be able to come out before Thursday. We will ask Barrie’s advice on who might be able to help.
- Liam wants to know who he should contact in Estates and Buildings. The committee laughed.
Freshers’ Week
Stall was fabby. Around 160 people signed up. We will go Whorehouse flyering tomorrow and take 50th posters to.
The Best Little Whorehouse in a Weekend Show
Liam says he can clear enough space in the office for it to be available for principals rehearsals. Cate’s flat has a large room with a keyboard. We think John Paul has asked the chaplaincy who say it’s all right to use there too. We can build set in the store room as long as we don’t leave it there long enough to rot. Nadia will do FOH for the show, to save explainging the petty cash to someone else. Food was discussed and we decided to tell the cast to bring a packed tea for the Sunday and expect no break. We will buy spare sandwich making materials in case. Ordering pizza for 100 people is not a viable option. Nicola would like a rubber chicken. A budget would be nice at some point. We will also try to get a video camera for the weekend as before.
AOCB
- After the noise from the disco at H2$, we should check with the theatre now that we won’t have the same problem again.
- Gregor gives apologies for future committee meetings as he will have classes at Strathclyde until 6pm.
- West Side Story budget meeting. Can’t be on a Thursday (see above) We will ask Sam if Sunday 27th October is OK.
Meeting closed at 6.50pm
