Commitee Meeting Minutes

Cecilian Society Committee Meeting 16/06/02

Present:

Gregor, Nicola, Libby, JP, Adele, Eliza, Tony. Lorna B.

Apologies:

Nadia, Ali, Jenny, Liam, Chris, Cate

Meeting opened: 7.10pm.

JP has discovered that for a flat rate of £20, we can hire anything from the Scottish Opera stores for as long as we need them. We should remember this.

Spring Show

6 shows were on the short list. Carousel, Fiddler on the Roof, Hello Dolly, High Society, Me and My Girl, West Side Story.

Carousel is being performed in the Mitchell in November.
West Side Story is being performed in the Kings in November.
Fiddler is being performed in the Kings in March.

After an in-depth discussion of each show, West Side Story was chosen as our first choice by a majority vote. We have back up choices in case we cant get the rights. Our choices were:

  1. West Side Story.
  2. Fiddler on the Roof.
  3. Me and My Girl.
  4. Hello Dolly.

Libby will email the society to let them know, and to ask for people to come forward if they want to be involved in the production side.
