Correspondence

  • The makro cards have arrived.
  • The Country Dance scoiet warned that the GUU may charge us a cancellation fee for the Danish ceilidh.
  • We received publicity from the 2001 office, adressed ‘Dear Graduate’

Show

Derek will be utilised. The poster should be ready for the committee next Thursday and will include the Curlers logo if possible.

Christams Concerts

Yet again everyone talks too much and the committee should set an example.

SRC Grants

Can we get a special submission grant for the show? JP will find out more.

Rehearsal space

Having been told we couldn’t have the QM tonight, it’s apparently free after all. Curlers isn’t, so we have had to cancel the chorus rehearsal because the QM couldn’t sort themselves out to tell us in time. Nowhere else on campus is free: we now to have e-mail Central Room Bookings, not phone them. For booking the QM, we should apparently not use the general office but approach an exec member directly. There are gigs on in the QM for the next two Thursdays - it might be best to avoid the building all together. We’ll book Curlers AND the Williams room and see.

AOCB

  • We have maps on how to get to the Forest of Fun Hallowe’en party,
  • Tony wants people to go and see his play. We’ll get Sarah to organise a trip.
  • JP asked why we’ve never tried affiliating to both unions. Everyone else said that was because we can’t. JP countered that we always say that, but no one ever goes and checks. It was pointed out that this too has been said before, which prompted someone to go and check. We definitely can’t, so will people stop raisiing the issue?

Meeting Closed at 6.44pm
