Commitee Meeting Minutes

Cecilian Society Committee Meeting, 15/11/01, QM

Present:

Meeting Opened at 6.07pm

Correspondence

  • Mark e-mailed to say that the the Minerva need tech crew for the Mitchell.
  • We received the other copy of the Qm letter at Western Court.
  • Adele is a goddess... The Bank of Scotland are sponsoring us £200!!!!! (They want their logo on posters - too late, so we’ll ask them if they want to sponsor the programme/a night of the show)
  • Clydeside...forgot about our posters.

Microphones

Mr. Glover thinks they should be included in the venue hire, but aren’t. Everyone else knew that they weren’t included.. Where did he get his tech spec. from? Let’s double-check with the Mitchell. He also suggested we approach the cooncil for sponsorship i.e. reduction in venue cost. Let’s try asking them to pay for mics. instead....

Publicity

Ewan’s thing pops up. We don’t know when we’re getting the tickets.

AOCB

  • JP asked Ben Zeilinski about Special submissions. They must be for a one-off event or to set up a new event. The award is added to the amount claimed on our standard SRC grant. We’ll argue that moving to the Mitchell constitutes setting up a new event.
  • The Buchanan Galleries dates are Wednesday 19th or Friday 21st. Let’s find out who’s around. JP is going to the STAG board meeting on Wednesday re singing at Gilmorehill.
  • The anniversary subcommittee will meet at 6.30pm on Wednesday.
  • We’ll charge an entrance fee for Stars in Their Eyes to cover costs. Will Curlers do a free buffet?
  • Lorna will try to book the Dinner Dance for 27th April.
  • Anne wanted to know whether or nor we are having specific understudies for the spring show. The production team will discuss it.
