Ph.D. studies

Postgraduate teaching at UMBSM also takes the form of supervised research and associated training towards a doctorate (Ph.D.) from the University of London. UMBSM staff also co-supervise students based at other institutions. Full-time Ph.D. projects are normally of three years duration. A small number of research studentships are provided by Station funds and others are funded by research grants. Ph.D. opportunities are advertised in science magazines and on this web site from time to time.
