Funding to Support SME involvement in European Research Projects

Grants are available through the Scottish Funding Council’s ‘Pools Engagement in European Research (PEER)’ fund to encourage and facilitate the involvement of Scottish SMEs in European Framework Projects. The funding is specially allocated to the Scottish Research Pools and provides support for researchers to boost participation in European Framework projects.

If you are a Scottish SME and you are interested in participating in a European Framework project with researchers from one of the Research Pools then this funding could help you and your academic collaborators develop your proposal. The funding can be used for a range of activities relating to any relevant EU call (as long as all other conditions of funding are met) including:  funding for academics travelling to consortium meetings where they introduce a Scottish SME; consortium development meetings; establishing network connections; cost of a specialist consultant support for bids; support for academics time to develop proposals; or admin time to coordinate bids and meetings.
