Mel Anderson, Commercialisation Relationship Manager

Mel joined Research & Enterprise (R&E) in March 1998. His role is to maximise the exploitation of University generated intellectual property through licensing, research contracts, and company formations.

Mel has spent the last 10 years in various commercialisation roles at universities in Scotland and England. He has experience in the successful development of licensing deals, contract research, and the formation of spin-out companies. His project experience spans a number of industry sectors including communications technologies, opto-electronics, software/IT, bio-electronics, and the life sciences — from discovery tools to drug development.
