Creating companies is one of the main ways in which technology from the University can directly impact on the local economy.
The University has enabled the creation of a range of companies both from directly supporting the formation of a spin-out venture to liecnsing IP to start-ups in return for equity at thd founding stage.
Since 2006, the University has had a partnership with leading early-stage investor - IP Group plc with whom we continue to work on a number of pipeline and portfolio companies.
