Reasons to join the Retired Staff Association

Glasgow University has a large and active community of retired staff, spouses, widows and widowers.  It is important that each person can both keep in touch with the University and get involved in individual Clubs and Societies.  In the past, there has been no easy way for retired staff to access all the possible GU activities with which they might wish to be involved.  The Retired Staff Association (RSA) has been established to fill this gap.

If you know of any eligible person who is not receiving Retired Staff Association emails then please pass the information on and ask them to get in touch with Netta Lithgow to be added to the mailing list.

 Benefits include:

• Retired Staff who have opted in to the RSA should now be receiving Avenue magazine and invitations to University events such as Commemoration Day. Contact Netta Lithgow if you are not. (Perhaps we have an out-of-date address....)
• RSA members are entitled to a 10% discount on purchases in the University Visitor Centre.
• From time to time there are opportunities to volunteer in research or student matters.  Please click here for information on help needed

The RSA is run by a small Committee made up of current members and representatives of the Development & Alumni Office and the Ladies' Club.  Through the RSA Web page, we pass on to members details of all meetings of which we are aware.  We will also send out hard mail occasionally to cover those members who are not regular users of email or web pages.
