Honorary Graduates at the 2006 Commemoration Day

2013 Commemoration Day

Wednesday 12 June 2013

The foundation of the University of Glasgow in 1451 is celebrated each year on Commemoration Day.

Commemoration Day includes:

  • a Service for the Commemoration of Benefactors in the University Chapel;
  • a University Meeting in the Bute Hall when the Chancellor will confer a number of Honorary Degrees upon distinguished persons;
  • the Commemoration Day Lunch in the Hunter Halls for invited guests.

Graduates celebrating their 50th anniversary reunion are invited to attend this special occasion as unique reunion event.  This year we are delighted to welcome back graduates from 1963.  Tickets for the ceremony are free but must be booked in advance, and the lunch costs £32 per person.
