S6 Personal Statement workshop

This sessions aims to answer queries and help S6 pupils with the application process with particular emphasis on writing the personal statement. We ask that pupils bring a draft of their statement to work with and we will then look at examples, considering the best way to present yourself. We will also dedicate some time to workshopping statements which allows pupils to receive constructive criticism on their writing and hone their own critical skills. This session provides invaluable help for the final step in the application process.

These sessions are for S6 pupils and will take place during school hours in September.

S6 Medical professions interview skills workshop

The admissions interview can be a nerve-wracking and somewhat mysterious part of the application process for Medicine and Dentistry. Here at Reach, we provide S6 pupils with a campus day dedicated to providing advice and support for pupils in advance of their interview.

The workshop is based at the University of Glasgow campus and provides pupils with practical advice on how best to prepare for the interview stage of the application process. Pupils take part in activities and workshopping sessions to help hone interview skills, as well as a Q&A session with admissions officers and current undergraduate students.

This campus based session is likely to take place in late November.
