Scottish Wider Access Programme (SWAP)

The University has been a member of SWAP (the Scottish Wider Access Programme) since its inception in 1987. Since then, the number of new SWAP programmes in Further Education Colleges has steadily grown. There are now 22 different programme opportunities in 20 different colleges. Glasgow University is involved in 14 of the programmes. Any mature student with few or no qualifications can study at a local college and on successful completion of the programme is guaranteed a place in higher education.
