Department of Adult and Continuing Education (DACE)

The Department of Adult and Continuing Education (DACE) makes a major contribution to the University Widening Participation commitment. The Department, located within the Faculty of Education, addresses social inclusion in terms of research, teaching and informing the debate nationally and internationally.

The Department runs a wide variety of courses, including the pioneering Bachelor of Community Education/Community Development and the Certificate in Community Learning and Development. These courses are built on links with community organisations in places such as Govan, Castlemilk, Inverclyde and Drumchapel. All these courses attract students who are often the first in their family to attend university courses. For more information on these and other DACE courses, please see the DACE website.
