Open Days 2013
If you are thinking about studying at the University of Glasgow we would be delighted to welcome you along to one of our Open Days.
Our Open Days offer a unique and exciting opportunity to absorb the atmosphere at one of the UK's top universities, whilst experiencing a taste of student life in Scotland's largest and most vibrant city.
Our 2013 Open Day dates are:
- Thursday 13th June
- Wednesday 4th September
- Saturday 26th October
Our Open Days run 9.30am-3pm with talks, tours and activities scheduled within these times.
Please register for the event on the date you wish to attend, ensuring you choose the correct date and number of places you wish to book (including any guests coming with you).
Our June 2013 Open Day brochure will be available to download here by the end of May. This will allow you to plan your day in advance, ensuring you don't miss anything important to you, while letting you check out all the exciting activities for the day!
In the meantime please feel free to look through the June 2012 brochure which will give you an idea of what to expect on the day.
What's happening on the day?
Open Day is a great opportunity for you to see what we’re about here at Glasgow. You can;
- explore our award winning campus and facilities
- meet and chat with academic staff
- experience what student life is like, and speak to current students
- discover our student support services including admissions, accommodation and finance
- participate in a wide range of talks, tours and activities

Dentistry & Veterinary Medicine Tours
Dentistry tours are ONLY available at our September Open Day: if you are interested in attending a tour of the Dental School please note Dentistry as your subject interest when registering. You will be contacted separately with further details on how to book a place on a dentistry tour. Please also note that tour spaces are limited, and are therefore available for prospective students only.
You will be able to meet with academics from the Dental School at all our Open Days, and able to attend scheduled talks.
Tours of the School of Veterinary Medicine are unavailable during our 2013 Open Days due to extensive refurbishment of facilities. You will be able to meet with academics from Veterinary Medicine on the day, and able to attend scheduled talks.

Overnight Accommodation
If you are planning on staying in Glasgow during your visit, our Residental Services offer special Open Day rates for rooms at some of our Student Accommodation sites. This not only provides you with comfortable and convenient overnight accommodation, but also lets you experience our student accommodation first hand!
