Afternoon Visits

If you unable to make it to our Open Days or Applicants' Visit Day, we recommend you come along to one of our Afternoon Visits. These are held throughout the year, and offer an overview of life as a University of Glasgow student.

Afternoon Visits should only be considered as an option if attendance at the Open Days or Applicants' Visit Day is not possible; and registration is essential as spaces are limited.

Each Afternoon Visit takes place between 1pm and 4pm, with registration available from 11am.

Optional tours of our undergraduate student accommodation will be available on the day, and our library will be open for access, both available between 10am-12pm.

A typical visit consists of a presentation about the University of Glasgow and the courses on offer, followed by a question-and-answer session.  Next is a guided tour of the campus, and afterwards you may have the opportunity to meet with a representative from your chosen School or College, if available.

Please note that it will not be possible for potential Undergraduates to visit and/or meet with representatives from the Schools of Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry and Law.  To meet with staff from Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry and Law, please come along to one of our Undergraduate Open Days in June and September.

Our 2013 Afternoon Visit dates are:-

Wednesday 13th February 2013

Wednesday 10th April 2013

Wednesday 7th August 2013

If you are unable to attend any of the Open Days at our Dumfries campus we are able to arrange individual visits to suit you.  We would encourage you to attend an Open Day if possible, as you will have access to the widest range of information; however, if you would like to arrange an individual visit please see www.gla.ac.uk/schools/interdisciplinary
