Integrity in action
Our University is committed to truth, fairness and respect, and we believe that if we co-operate, we can offer more. That’s why we constantly gather feedback from our students about how they think we’re performing, building a relationship that thrives on mutual respect and honest communication.
Students make their voices heard in many ways. Our Student’s Representative Council (SRC), for example, gathers information through a system of elected student representatives and college convenors led by four student sabbatical officers. These officers help to shape University governance at the highest level, sharing vital information on matters of learning and development, and student welfare.
Students also respond to a number of independently conducted surveys, including the National Student Survey and the International Student Barometer. The results for 2009 show that 90% of our final year undergraduates are satisfied with their learning experience at Glasgow, which is well above the national average of 81%. We are also ranked 6th in the UK for international student satisfaction.
