South East Asia: Professor Andrea Nolan
Professor Andrea Nolan is the University of Glasgow’s International Dean for South East Asia.
My work as International Dean for South East Asia
The University has a long history of engagement in the region and has many long-standing and flourishing partnerships. It is an exciting area in which to work, with countries in the region making substantial and sustained investments in Higher Education, and great opportunities for deepening and expanding our relationships with our partners.
The University of Glasgow Singapore was launched in 2010 and has six staff currently working / based in-country leading delivery of degree programmes. And with over 2,850 alumni in the regions, there is always a Glasgow graduate close by.
New International Dean for South East Asia
Professor Frank Coton, Vice-Principal (Learning and Teaching), will take up the role of International Dean for South East Asia on 1 June, taking over from Professor Andrea Nolan, who is leaving the University at the end of June. This region, which embraces countries with whom we have strong and long-standing relationships (Singapore, Malaysia), also offers significant potential for engagement with other countries including Indonesia, Vietnam and others.
Professor Coton said "This is an important region for the University and I look forward to building on the great work that Andrea and colleagues have done in developing our partnerships there."
