Middle East: Professor Steve Beaumont
My work as an International Dean for the Middle East
I am Vice Principal for Research & Enterprise with responsibility for the University's Research & Knowledge Transfer strategy and policies, and their delivery. I also oversee the services delivered by Research & Enterprise.
Given my other responsibilities I'm keen to use existing and new research linkages to build deeper relationships with other countries, their universities and their industry. I think this is the best way of developing long term opportunities for the University, especially as so many countries are strengthening their own Universities and the market for 'traditional' overseas recruitment are likely to diminish. I believe there are plenty of opportunities for us in the region and am keen to work with colleagues to develop them.
