We are proud to be a founding member of U21, a global network of 27 leading research-led universities for the 21st century.
U21 HR Network
Glasgow is currently lead of the U21 HR group and has produced a benchmarking report on P&DR across the U21 network which can be found here on the U21 website.
U21 - an opportunity for all
U21 offers a range of opportunities for collaboration within the following three themes:
- Offering the best student experience
- Educational Innovation
- Researcher Development
At Glasgow, we participate in a range of activities:
- U21 Conferences offer both students and staff the opportunity to take part in conferences worldwide and develop cross-cultural and interdisciplinary links.
- U21 Summer Schools are held annually allowing some of the best students from across the U21 network to take part in an exchange of cultures, experiences and intellectual ideas.
- U21 Exchange Network offers our students a chance to take part in student exchanges with our global U21 partners. We are keen to facilitate exchange with U21 partners where possible and have limited funds for PhD students to enable this.
- U21 Early Career researcher workshops offer our staff in the early stages of their career a chance to network internationally & encourage collaborative research. We fund up to five ECR places at the annual workshop.
- University of Glasgow staff are also involved in a number of U21 collaborative groups including educational innovation, HR, Researcher development and internationalisation.
