2012-13 Erasmus Staff Teaching Mobility Funding (teaching staff)
Aim: to spend a teaching period between 1 day - or at least 5 teaching hours – and 6 weeks at a higher education institution in another participating country. The partner Universities must agree in advance the teaching programme to be delivered by the visiting teacher. For more details visit: http://ec.europa.eu/education/erasmus/teaching_en.htm
Priority should be given to mobility activities which:
-
Ensure that the visiting teacher's contributions will be an integral part of a diploma/degree programme of the host institution;
- Will lead to the production of new teaching material;
-
Will be used to consolidate and extend links between Schools and Colleges and to prepare future co-operation projects.
To ensure the participation of the greatest possible number of teachers, priority shall be given to teachers going abroad for the first time. Teachers whose applications are successful must complete required Erasmus documentation, including a Teacher Mobility Contract and a Teacher Report Form.
Funding: The award is to contribute to subsistence costs and to cover travel costs for the mobility period for full-time staff at the University of Glasgow. Costs should be claimed using the University's current standard expenses claim form. All expenses, including travel and subsistence, are receipted and all original receipts must be provided. There are specific maximum amounts. Further details, including required documentation and maximum budget amounts, will be sent to successful candidates by the European Exchanges section of RIO. Expenses claim forms must be submitted within 1 month of the completion of the mobility.
Where: A teaching assignment may be to or from an Erasmus-eligible University, preferably with universities that have an active bilateral Erasmus agreement in the relevant subject.
