2012-13 Erasmus Staff Training Mobility Funding (for all staff)
Aim: to spend a period of training between 5 working days and 6 weeks in an enterprise or organisation such as a higher education institution in another participating country. For more details visit: http://ec.europa.eu/education/erasmus/training_en.htm
Funding: Mobility grants for staff are provided as contributions towards subsistence and travel. Both travel and subsistence costs are calculated on the basis of receipted expenditure, not to exceed the maximum allowable amounts.
Where: Enterprises; HEI that hold an Erasmus University Charter (EUC).
Application process and timings:
- Consult Line Manager or Head of School for initial approval of your proposed mobility.
- Applications are submitted to your Head of Service or Dean of Learning & Teaching).
- DEADLINE to submit applications is Friday, 12 October 2012.
- The Head of Service/Dean of Learning & Teaching will review and select applications to put forward for funding. These should be submitted to the Erasmus office by Friday, 26 October 2012.
- You will be notified of the status of your application in early to mid-November.
Note that Training period must be completed by 31 July 2013 and that the training period must be from 5 working days (not including travel days or non-working weekends) to 6 weeks (shorter exceptions must be well-justified).
Application notes:
- Please complete the Application form and be clear if your budget is in pounds, euros, or another currency (preferably euros).
- The Staff mobility Subsistence rates sets out maximum subsistence rates in euros, per country and duration. This maximum amount will change if the final duration is not the same as proposed. We'll likely not be able to pay more than your proposed amount, so be as accurate as possible.
- Use the isced & econ sector codes to assist with part IV of the application form.
- Staff training mobility information has been adapted from the British Council Handbook for 2010/2011 and provides guidelines for training mobility, including minimum and maximum duration, travel rates, etc.
