Francis Johnson
The University of Glasgow has a long and eminent history of educating and training some of the best students in Scotland. Many of these have gone on to become top national leaders in their disciplines whether it be in politics, medicine, the humanities, the arts, or the sciences. For people like me who are in the field of education, we see as a primary objective the continuation of this excellent tradition. For this reason I am happy to provide financial support for scholarships that will broaden the international experience of younger people and improve the quality of their education. From my own perspective I see it as a personal obligation to support in some small measure the University that provided me not only with an outstanding education but, as a consequence, a highly successful career in science.
