Forbes Macpherson

I have been associated with the University in various capacities for some time. As my background is financial, I was asked to join the Vet Fund Advisory Board, which aims to bring alternative income streams into the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. This was of particular interest, as welfare of animals is very important to me. I have also appreciated for some time that, for over 50 years, the 'Vet School' has held a special place in the affection of animal lovers throughout the country, offering as it does, compassionate and dedicated care to sick, injured and aging animals, as well as training future vets and nurses and offering support to vets in practice throughout the UK.

Maintaining the University and the Veterinary Faculty's international reputation is critical for our future. A key part of our strategy is the provision of a world-class new £10 million small animal hospital and sourcing the funds for this exciting new facility is the first project the Vet Fund has undertaken.

Since our campaign was launched, we have sourced almost 80% of the total needed and we are committed to securing the outstanding amount. However, we need help to reach our target. Please join me in making a gift to this important campaign: together we can make our vision a reality.
