Get involved in the SCENE campaign

  • Reunions

If your year group is holding a reunion, why not hold it at the field station? Relive some memories and see what has changed with a tour of the new SCENE.

  • Archive project

Help us establish an archive of information about the field station - papers, photographs and memories that we can use to form a display in the new SCENE.

  • Give now

All gifts will help us towards our target of £2m and gifts of £250 and more will be recognised by a naming opportunity on the donor wall in the new teaching building.

Hold a reunion

If your year group is holding a reunion, why not hold it at the field station?  Relive some memories and see what has changed with a tour of the new SCENE.  You could even make a group donation and have your gift commemorated on the donor wall.

The 1970 Zoology year group visited recently as part of their 40th Anniversary celebrations. Dr Murdo MacLeod was one of the organisers - 'Our day revolved around a visit to SCENE, with a tour of the facilities and an exciting talk on the history, future and research of the Centre by Professor Colin Adams, Director.  This was followed by a sunshine cruise on Loch Lomond with Mr David Fettes, Operations Manager at SCENE.  We were all  impressed by the continuing development of what we remember as the Glasgow University Field Station, Rowardennan.'

To find out more about how we can help with your reunion please visit our alumni reunion pages.

Field Station Archive Project

We are hoping to establish an archive of information about the field station - papers, photographs and memories from alumni, staff and friends.  The University Archives will hold this information in safety and it will be accessible to anyone wishing to research information about the field station.  The information gathered will also be used to form a display in the new SCENE.  Please get in touch if you would like to contribute.

Keep in touch

Let us know if you studied at the field station, particularly if it was before 1985 or you visited as part of a group from another university.  E-mail Barrie.Bryson@glasgow.ac.uk  we'd love to keep you in touch with the new developments.

Make a donation

All gifts will help us towards our target and gifts of £250 and more will be recognised by a naming opportunity on the donor wall in the new teaching building. Other opportunities are still available to recognise larger donations, from laboratories and aquariums to suites of accommodation.

Calling Glasgow alumni

We hope that if you are called as part of the bi-annual Phone Campaign you will be able to speak to one of our current students.  SCENE is one of the projects you can choose to support and all donations will help towards the final goal of our fundraising campaign which has now nearly reached the £2m target.
