Your gifts have helped -

Give the opportunity for adventure

The Chancellor’s Fund for Sport provides students with the ability to undertake exceptional sport and recreation related trips or projects from mountaineering training in the Alps to a jungle marathon and cycle trip from Scotland to the Sahara.

Open up the possibilities of scientific discovery

Our funding helped over 80 students travel on eight international scientific expeditions organised by the University of Glasgow Exploration Society to conduct wildlife studies and conservation projects.

Celebrate student talent

We supported the Chapel Choir’s December 2012 concert tour to Holland marking the 60th anniversary session of our award winning choir.

Preserve our heritage

A grant from the Fund helped create the Glasgow Guardian digital archive, an online searchable database opening up the great heritage of student journalism at the University for the enjoyment of students past and present.

Broaden our students' horizons

We are supporting marketing activities to increase the number of students applying to study abroad as part of their degree programme, helping students develop cross-cultural communication, the ability to adapt to new circumstances and gain a new perspective on their academic subject.

Lead the way in teaching

A grant from the Fund allowed the School of Computing Science to construct a scale model of a cloud computing data centre, providing students with hands-on experience and vital skills to allow them to compete in the cloud computing era.
