The Beatson Translational Research Centre is nearing completion
With the construction of the Beatson Translational Research Centre nearing completion, new staff will move into the Centre early in 2013. Some of whom are existing University of Glasgow staff, others are currently being recruited. Through the provision of the most up-to-date facilities and equipment our aim is to attract world-class cancer research scientists to join our team to help drive the vital work.
Professor Andrew Biankin has recently been appointed as Director of the Beatson TRC and will join the team in January. Professor Biankin will come from the Garvan Institute of Medical Research at the University of New South Wales, Australia.
His vision is:
“for clinical and translational cancer research to move towards personalised medicine where we provide the right treatment to the right patient at the right time at the right cost with the right outcome.”
