Half Yearly Meetings of General Council

Meetings are held at half-yearly intervals. All General Council members are entitled to attend, i.e., all graduates and academic staff of the University.

Half Yearly Meeting - January 2024

The Half-Yearly Meeting of the General Council was held virtually on Tuesday 30 January at 6:00pm (BST), by Zoom.

We are delighted to welcome Roderick Forsyth Neilson (MBChB 1985; Dip 1994; MPhil 2002; MLitt 2008) and Andre de Almeida (BSc 1998), as the top two candidates with the most votes, to fill the vacant positions on the committee.

Half Yearly Meeting - June 2021

The Half-Yearly Meeting of the General Council was held virtually on Monday 21 June 2021 at 6pm

The Chancellor, Dame Katherine Grainger DBE, was in the Chair. The meeting was addressed by the Principal, Professor Sir Anton Muscatelli, The Convenor of Court, Elizabeth Passey and by Rev Stuart MacQuarrie, Convenor of the General Council Business Committee.
